The October 24th, 2013 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Angels worth $1.09 billion, replacing Howie Kendrick and much more...
The Story: The Angels are valued at $1.09 billion.
The Monkey Says: That makes them the 8th most valuable franchise in MLB. Arte Moreno paid $180 million almost eleven years ago. It is safe to say he made a good investment.
The Story: How the Angels can replace Howie Kendrick.
The Monkey Says: This, of course, assumes he will be traded. If they go in-house, it will almost certainly be Grant Green as Taylor Lindsey is not going to be ready in 2014. I wouldn't be too upset if Andrew Romine got a shot since he is such a slick glove. One outside option worth considering that wasn't mentioned is Mark Ellis who would be a nice veteran stopgap for a year. He's old, but he is still a strong defender and his bat isn't too far below league average at the position.
