In a surprise announcement last night, Angels have sent Scott Kazmir to the DL with some sort of injury (don't worry about which body part, because it is probably a fake injury) and called up Matt Palmer to take his place for this game. Or will it be longer?
As if the Blue Jays weren't happy enough about trading away Vernon Wells because of his contract, they got a nice cherry on top tonight as the slumping slugger(?) single-handedly short-circuited the Angel offense, leading to the Halo staying unlit for this season's home opener.

After a somewhat trying start to the season, the Angels finally get to come home for the first time this season. And it isn't just home cooking the Halos are returning to tonight either as they will also be kicking off their season-long 50th Season celebration.
Operation Gruesome Twosome -The big showdown between former friend and foe, the battle between a team scorned and a longtime rival...Carl Crawford and Adrian Beltre. Once these two roll into town things are gonna get dirty. The Angels are gonna be in some big trouble if these two villains try to come in and throw salt in the Angels' wounds. If we're going to bring shame to those that have wronged them they're going to have to approach the situation with some finesse. The one thing us Angel fans would love as much as going to the playoffs, and possibly the World Series, is getting back at these two. Righting the wrongs done to the Angels is a tall order, good thing I got the gameplan ready to go.

Not to ruin the Free For All fun before it even begins, but I have to interrupt this very important blog post to bring you some breaking news that will impact the future of this very site...

What could it be?
Daily Links for the LA Angels including Downs and Willits begin their rehab, remembering when the Angels first moved to Anaheim, the season boils down to Vernon Wells and much more...
